  3. Is that a toy eyeball? Plus, that looks EXACTLY like your thumb on the right and you painted more on the face. It resembles you more now. The brow bone and eyes--you for sure. I am impressed b/c self-portraits are the hardest and this is great.

  5. Oh, I do love a good question!!thanks for even noticing it! Used to be that these vanitas still life paintings contained a skull to symbolize transience of life and the inevitablity of death but for some reason, that glow in the dark bloody eyeball boucy ball of Crawford's which is always in the cup with the brushes was just the right thing to use instead. There you have it.
