A study after John Sargent

really was hard to do, and why I think I could try was a mystery!

  1. His work is so beautiful. Kristy, I have to say that this is exquisite. The skin tones, brush strokes, and delicate shapes make for an incredible portrait.

I just posted a sample of your portrait of William since we had it framed and then I forgot you are not on FB anymore. Will try to remember to email it to you. We opted for a simple, colonial style frame though my heart wanted the most ornate and elaborate surround. I had to tame my appetite for it would have been too much acting as a distraction from your beautiful work. That, or it might have been Williamsburg inspired since we got the frame made in Williamsburg. Either way, less is more, and we treasure his portrait. Thank you!

Can't wait to see more works from your class.

God bless and have a good week.
